Zusammenfassung

Viele Verletzungen haben eine mehr oder minder starke äußere Blutung zur Folge. Auch wenn das Ausmaß einer solchen Blutung — insbesondere von Laien — eher überschätzt wird, stellt die Blutstillung doch eine wichtige Erstversorgungsmaßnahme zur Vermeidung eines lebensbedrohlichen Blutverlustes dar. Der Notarzt muß so schnell wie möglich die Blutungsstelle erkennen, um dann zielgerecht die notwendige Versorgung durchzuführen.
