Zusammenfassung
Akute, nicht traumatisch bedingte Schmerzen im Thorax können vom Herzen, von der Lunge, der Pleura, der Aorta sowie der Wirbelsäule ausgehen. Thoraxschmerz ist bei einem Teil der zugrundeliegenden Erkrankungen mit ausgesprochener Dyspnoe verbunden, so daß die betroffenen Patienten dem Notarzt auch unter dem Leitsymptom Atemnot entgegentreten können.
