Summary
The area of non-destructive testing is growing in importance due to industrial needs for better process control, assessment of materials, components and systems properties. It cannot be separated from the general trends towards the introduction of new materials and new technologies within the industry, which the next BRITE-EURAM programme will consider as a high priority.
