Abstract

The West-Asturian-Leonian Zone offers an ample variety of mineralizations, although frequently of small size. The metal elements present are: iron, lead, zinc, copper, silver, gold, molybdenum, antimony, manganese, tungsten, uranium, mercury, arsenic and cobalt. The main nonmetallic minerals are: barite, kaolin, magnesite and andalucite. Their spatial distribution is compiled in Figs. 1 and 2.
