Zusammenfassung
Entwicklungsdiagnostik soll feststellen, wie weit ein Kind entwickelt ist. Dazu wird sein Standort im Kontinuum der individuellen Entwicklung bestimmt und dieser individuelle Standort mit dem anderer Kinder verglichen. Die Instrumente der Entwicklungsdiagnostik — „Babytests“, „Kleinkindertests“, „Neugeborenenskalen“ — deuten an, daß sich dieses Teilgebiet der Diagnostik häufig (z. T. traditionell) auf die frühe Kindheit bezieht.
