Zusammenfassung

Bereits Kussmaul und Maier [27] wiesen bei der ersten Beschreibung der Periarteriitis nodosa vor mehr als 120 Jahren auf die Beteiligung der Niere in Form des Morbus Brightii hin. Seit dieser Beschreibung einer definierten Form der systemischen Vaskulitis gibt es viele Einteilungsversuche, die mit zahlreichen Eigennamen und verwirrenden Klassifikationsversuchen angefüllt sind [5, 18, 31].
