Mixing of Magnetoexcitons in Quantum Wells

Abstract

The mixing of magnetoexcitons due to the complicated valence band structure in III-V semiconductors is considerably modified by a quantum well potential. Several examples are discussed from a theoretical point of view. Most experimental findings are well explained by a recently developed effective mass theory and the Luttinger parameters of the bulk band structure.
