Zur Therapie von Dystonien und Athetosen

Zusammenfassung

Unter Dystonie versteht man langsame, unwillkürliche Kontraktionen vorwie gend der proximalen Muskulatur, die oft zu rotierenden Bewegungen und bizarren Gelenkstellungen sowie Körperpositionen führen. Die Dystönien werden nach Marsden (1982) unterteilt in: 1. fokale Dystönien, falls nur eine einzelne Region betroffen ist (z. B. Nacken oder Gesicht), 2. segmentale Dystönien, wenn ein Segment bilateral (z. B. beide Arme) oder wenn zwei oder drei benachbarte Körperabschnitte betroffen sind (z. B. Gesicht und Nacken) und 3. generalisierte Dystönien, falls ein Arm und Bein der jeweils anderen Seite oder mehr als drei Segmente betroffen sind (Fahn 1983). Aufgrund der symptomatischen Dystonien beim M. Wilson und Befunden bei perinatalen Schädigungen mit Dystonie wird eine Läsion der Basalganglien angenommen.
