Abstract
First order corrections to the Born term production rate of dileptons in a Quark Gluon Plasma are examined in the framework of finite temperature perturbative QCD. While infrared divergences disappear, mass singularities do not cancel, which might cause large logarithmic terms to appear at order α s .
