Zusammenfassung

Die Refertilisierung nach Sterilisation ist ein operatives Verfahren der Urologie, welches zunehmende Bedeutung erlangt. Parallel zum vermehrten Einsatz der Vasektomie als empfängnisverhütende Maßnahme steigt auch die Zahl der Männer, die diesen Eingriff wieder rückgängig gemacht haben wollen. Hierfür gibt es mehrere Gründe:

Am häufigsten ist eine neue Partnerschaft eingegangen worden und in dieser neuen Beziehung besteht nun wieder ein Kinderwunsch. An zweiter Stelle wird genannt, daß man seine Meinung geändert habe und doch ein zweites oder drittes Kind haben wolle. Schließlich gibt es auch die tragischen Fälle, bei denen durch Krankheit oder Tod des Kindes ein erneuter Kinderwunsch besteht.
