Abstract
The x-ray emission spectroscopy(XES) is one of the tools to obtain the information on the electronic state of matters under core-level excitation. So far, a number of experimental works of XES have been carried out on rare earth materials[1–6]. In most of them, the method of electron bombardment was used to excite the core electrons. It is noticed that, by the electron stimulation, the injected electrons induce various complicated processes in the materials and this has caused some controversies about the origin of the structures in the observed emission spectra[7,8].
