Zusammenfassung

Dieses Kapitel befaßt sich mit den klinischen Erscheinungsweisen von Störungen der allgemeinen Leitungs- und Steuerungsfunktion(en) des Gehirns bei „frontaler“ Hirnschädigung. Diese basale Hirnfunktion wird in der angelsächsischen Literatur als „executive function“ bezeichnet (s. Stuss u. Benson 1986, die eine ausgezeichnete detaillierte Darstellung der klinischen Phänomene bei Stirnhirnschädigung geben). Eine solche Leitungs- und Steuerungsfunktion wird vor allem für das Planen, Ausführen und Kontrollieren von Handlungen benötigt. Es liegt auf der Hand, daß die Beeinträchtigung von Planen und Handeln ein zentrales Thema und eine besondere Herausforderung für die neuropsychologische Rehabilitation darstellen.
