Abstract
The triplet state of the polymer-backbone in the polydiacetylene TS-6 (toluene-sulphonate) was investigated by ODMR (optically detected magnetic resonance) detected on the triplet-triplet-absorption. From the angular dependence the fine-structure constants D and E, as well as the orientation of the triplet state in the plane of the polymer-backbone, are obtained. The signals are detected in the temperature range between 5 K and 100 K showing changes in lineshape and a decrease of intensity with increasing temperature.
