Zusammenfassung

In diesem Kapitel werden die allgemeinen Strahlungseigenschaften realer Materialien untersucht. Diese Eigenschaften können von den idealisierten Ergebnissen des Kap. 4 für „optisch ebene“ Materialien, wie sie von der elektromagnetischen Theorie erfaßt werden, erheblich abweichen. Die analytischen Berechnungen lassen Richtungen und Grenzwerte erkennen und gestatten, ausgehend von einer einheitlichen Grundlage, verschiedene Strahlungsphänomene zu erklären. Die so gefundenen rechnerischen Ergebnisse sind jedoch im allgemeinen nicht anwendbar, da ein Konstrukteur es mit Oberflächen zu tun hat, die in unterschiedlichem Maße mit Verunreinigungen wie Oxiden, Farben usw. bedeckt sind und eine Oberflächenrauhigkeit aufweisen, die schwierig vollständig und exakt zu beschreiben ist.
