Abstract

The dynamics of colloidal solutions is classically studied in terms of the short-time diffusion coefficient D(q) which is extracted from the first cumulant of the auto-correlation function of the scattered amplitude I(q,t):
$$D(q) = - \frac{1}{{{q^2}}}\frac{\partial }{{\partial t}}\log I(q,t = 0).$$
