Zusammenfassung

EMBP wurde in der Prostata von Ratte und Mensch nachgewiesen. Aufgrund seiner androgenabhängigen Synthese sowie seiner hohen Bindungsaffinität zum Estramustinphosphat, einem potenten Zytostatikum, bietet der Nachweis dieses Proteins im Prostatagewebe möglicherweise einen Zugewinn an Informationen für Diagnostik, Therapie und Verlaufskontrolle des PC [1, 2, 5].
