Abstract
In three cultivars, viz. Lucques, Oliviere and Tanche, of this thornless evergreen tree, mst occurs frequently (Villemur et al. 1984). The sterility is partial in Tanche, but complete in others. Complete mst is assigned by the authors to abnormal tapetal development. Genetic control of the sterility is not known.
