Abstract

The objective of accident analysis is to highlight the factors that bear on the probability rate of accident occurrence, to study the way in which accidents take place, and ultimately, to develop preventive measures to reduce their probability. The methods used for this analysis could be applied to different kinds of unwelcome occurrences: major accidents, minor accidents, near accidents, technical incidents, material damages, etc.
