Abstract
A two equations turbulent model is proposed for flows with two length scales involving the mean flow, the mean kinetic energy and the mean helicity. The system is obtained by an asymptotic expansion with respect to the small scales of the velocity and pressure in the Navier-Stokes equations. The performances of the model are compared with a direct 3D simulation of Poiseuille flows and good agreements are obtained.
