Abstract

The purpose of this review is to provide information on prevalence, type, specific treatment and outcome of acute complications associated with pregnancy and delivery that require a stay in an intensive care unit (ICU). The data reported herein have been collected from three Belgian ICU’s including one university center and two general hospitals (St. Jan Hospital, Brussels, Dr. L. Van Keerbergen; Jolimont Hospital, Dr. L. Collin). Each disorder will be discussed separately.
