Abstract
The Winter Garden is the centerpiece of the World Financial Center (See Fig.1 & 2). Its structure consists of a complex assemblage of structural elements that must interact to achieve the total strength of the structure. These structural elements include a telescoping barrel vault roof, a half dome, a large arch folded plate front wall, and a āUā-shaped stiffening ring. To analyze all these structural elements at once would create an enormous computer analysis. The meaning of the computer analysis would be obscured by the complexity of the results.
