Nonequilibrium Electron-Phonon Dynamics

Abstract

I have been requested to present a brief review of recent advances in our knowledge of the dynamics of electrons, phonons and their mutual interactions. To keep within the time and space restrictions of the review, I have chosen to illustrate progress in this field by reviewing three recent investigations carried out on polar semiconductors and which involve measurements, for the most part, directly in the time domain.
