Treatment of Teleorbitism in Patients with Severe Medial Orbital Wall Hypoplasia or Anatomic Distortion

Craniofacial Surgery

Abstract

Four patients aged 4 to 18 with teleorbitism have been treated, in whom the anatomy of the medial orbital wall was such that the standard osteotomies seemed inappropriate and difficult if not impossible to perform because of severe hypoplasis, absence or distortion. Facial clefting was the etiology in three patients and fibrous dysplasia of the medial orbital wall in a fourth.
