Conference paper

As craniofacial technique has evolved, indications for its use have expanded. Skull base tumors requiring resection constitute one such indication. Malignant tumors that involve the skull base and that require a composite resection of the craniofacial skeleton and overlying soft tissue present unique problems not ordinarily encountered in the craniofacial reconstruction of congenital anomalies. This paper presents the evolving principles and techniques utilized in the surgical treatment of nine such patients.
