Abstract
The correlation between morbidity and deficiency in energy supply is today well established. A spectacular example of the importance of energy and nitrogen supply are the results obtained in comparative study done on enterocutaneous fistulae in which the mortality dropped considerably when patients were correctly fed with calories and proteins.
