Summary

This paper shows the influence of non-Newtonian liquids on the acoustic cavitation thresholds. Furthermore a theoretical model is developed describing the influence of the non-Newtonian liquid on the pressure pulse velocity and on the damping effect in Two-Phase mixtures, where the carrier fluid is assumed to be a non-Newtonian liquid in which are distributed small gas bubbles of variable radius.
