Abstract

In the preceding chapters, we have discussed excitonic processes in cuprous halides, silver halides, and rare gas solids. We find that they are certainly interesting materials in many respects for the study of the excitonic molecule (EM) and exciton-phonon coupling. In this chapter we introduce other ionic crystals important for the study of excitons, that is thallous halides [7.1].
