Zusammenfassung

Nach dem heutigen Stand der Forschung kann nur das Herpes simplex Virus II und I eine Urethritis auslösen. Wohl kann es in Ausnahmefällen bei Virusinfektionen, die mit Schleimhautbefall einhergehen, etwa Influenza, Mumps u. a. zu einer Urethritis kommen, jedoch sind diese Manifestationen für die STD (Sexually Transmitted Diseases) ohne Bedeutung.
