Zusammenfassung

Jeder diagnostische Aufwand orientiert sich an der Fragestellung [5]. Die Diagnose von Herpes simplex-Erkran-kungen in immunologischen aber auch epidemiologischen oder therapeutischen Studien erfordert den exakten Nachweis der Erreger quantitativ durch Titrierung in Kulturverfahren und/oder qualitativ durch individuelle Typisierung, z.B. in Kulturverfahren und durch Sequenzanalysen der viralen DNS [3, 9, 10, 11].
