Zusammenfassung
Die Einbeziehung analytischer Denk- und Untersuchungsverfahren ist dafür mitverantwortlich, daß die Dermatologie gegenwärtig in einem Wandel von der Empirie zur Naturwissenschaft begriffen ist. Diese wissenschaftliche Basis hat der Dermatologie wachsende Anerkennung zuteil werden lassen und dokumentiert sich auch in einer verstärkten Aufgliederung unseres Fachbereichs. Wir haben uns in der Zwischenzeit an Begriffe wie Dermatochirurgie, Dermatopathologie, dermatologische Photobiologie etc. gewöhnt und es nimmt daher nicht wunder, daß die rapide Entwicklung der immunologischen Forschung in den letzten zwanzig Jahren auch in der Dermatologie ihren Niederschlag gefunden und zur Schaffung des Forschungsbereiches „Immundermatologie“ geführt hat.
