A Protocol for Nursing Assessment of Hypomagnesemia in Chronic Alcoholism
In the past 30 years, research has documented a high prevalence of hypomagnesemia in persons who abuse alcohol on a chronic basis. Although the percentages vary from study to study, depending on the population sampled, there is general agreement that hypomagnesemia is common among persons who abuse alcohol.
