Zusammenfassung

Die in Kap. 11 behandelten Verfahren zur Simulation sehr großer Netzwerke wurden bei der Entwicklung verschiedener Programme angewandt, um die Rechenzeit für eine Netzwerk — Simulation so zu verkürzen, daß auch größere Netzwerke behandelt werden können. Alle diese Programme werden eingesetzt, um das Zeitverhalten von Schaltungen zu ermitteln. Diese Transient — Analyse ist gemeint, wenn im folgenden statt von Netzwerkanalyse nur noch von Simulation gesprochen wird. Bei der Simulation großer Netzwerke unterscheidet man entsprechend der angestrebten Genauigkeit des Simulationsergebnisses zwischen der genauen Circuit — Simulation, der näherungsweisen Timing — Simulation und einer gemischten Simulation, der mixed — mode — Simulation.
