Abstract

We discuss the superconducting transition temperature Tc, the upper critical field, and the conductivity near Tc in the weakly localized regime of dirty superconductors. It is shown that Tc decreases with increasing atomic disorder, since the Coulomb repulsive interaction is enhanced and the density of states of electrons is depressed in dirty metals. In addition, disorder induces the depairing effect due to the retardation of the Coulomb interaction. The conductivity σ induced by the superconducting fluctuations depends on disorder through the diffusion constant and the pair-breaking parameter δ. The parameter δ is related to the phase coherence time τφ. We propose that the magnetoresistance near Tc may be useful for studying τφ
