Abstract

Most common cause of cancer deaths in the United States and an increasingly important cause of cancer deaths in all societies in which cigarette smoking is common — 117000 new cases per year in United States (59/100000). First cause of cancer deaths in males and second to breast cancer as a cause of cancer-related mortality in women.
