Abstract

Survival time and quality of life can be increased in patients with osteogenic sarcomas by means of preoperative chemotherapy and en-bloc resection (Rosen and Nirenberg 1982). Rosen et al. (1982) reported that 53 of 57 patients (93%) with osteogenic sarcoma had no evidence of recurrence or metastatic disease at 6–35 months (median 20 months) from the start of treatment.
