Abstract
Spermatophores are sporadically encountered throughout the entire phylum Annelida. They occur widely scattered in polychaetes, including the myzostomids and archiannelids (reviewed by Schroeder and Hermans 1975; Westheide 1984), and are also found in many Clitellata, that is, in both the oligochaetes and leeches (reviewed by Lasserre 1975).
