Abstract

The intention of this and the following chapters is to outline problems in other domains of physics related to the problems of QED of strong fields studied in this book. The two domains selected are the modern theory of strong interactions, i.e. quantum chromodynamics, that is treated here, and the theory of strong gravitational fields, i.e. the general theory of relativity, Chap. 21.
