Zusammenfassung

Zunächst wurden endokrin aktive Inselzelladenome beschrieben (Insulome, Insulinome), die Insulin produzierten und eine entsprechende Symptomatik auslösten. Später fand man dann Inselzelltumoren, die nicht Insulin produzierten, sondern andere hormonell wirksame Substanzen mit einem dementsprechenden Symptomenkomplex. Dazu gehören vor allem Tumoren, die Glukagon („Glukagonom“) und Gastrin („Gastrinom“) produzieren. Eine Gesamtübersicht gibt Tabelle 1 (de Vita et al. 1982).
