Zusammenfassung

Die Tumoren der peripheren Nerven sind selten. Nach großen Sektionsstatistiken (RöTTGEN u. WüLLENWEBER 1974) liegt die Morbidität bei 3–3,5 auf 1000 oder 3–3,5%0. Die Häufigkeit der primär malignen Tumoren ist noch geringer, nach den Statistiken von BONO und NERIGGI (1962) kommt ein bösartiger auf zehn gutartige Nerventumoren, unter 902 Patienten von GHOSH et al. (1973) sind es 115, das ist einer auf acht. Die Ätiologie dieser Tumoren ist unbekannt. In der Literatur wird vielfach auf einen Zusammenhang zwischen der Neurofibromatose von Recklinghausen und malignen Neurinomen hingewiesen, in einer sorgfältigen Untersuchung von D’AGOSTINO et al. (1963 b) konnte jedoch ein sicherer Zusammenhang nicht aufgedeckt werden. In 12 Fällen lagen gleichzeitig Neurofibrome vor, aber nur bei zwei Tumoren waren die malignen und benignen Gewebe eng miteinander verbunden (1,5%).
