Zusammenfassung

Der maligne Tumor der Trachea ist eine außerordentlich seltene Erkrankung, sein Anteil am Sektionsgut aller malignen Tumoren beträgt ca. 0,05% (Giese 1960). In der Mehrzahl der Fälle handelt es sich um Karzinome (Plattenepithel-, Adeno-, kleinzellige und undifferenzierte Karzinome). Etwas seltener finden sich Zylindrome, die zwar nach histologischem Bild und Proliferationstendenz als nur potentiell maligne gelten (Giese 1960), wegen ihrer nicht vorhersehbaren Neigung zu infiltrativem Wachstum und Fernmetastasierung aber in der Regel zu den malignen Tumoren gerechnet (Goetze 1959) und damit auch zu Recht adenoidzystisches Karzinom genannt werden. Nur vereinzelt wurden Sarkome (Spindelzell-, Fibro-, Chondro-, Osteo-, Myxo-, Myo-, Hämangioendothelsarkome (Giese 1960; Schmitt 1967), lymphoepitheliale Karzinome (Lukina zit. bei Arndt 1973), pleomorphe Adenome (Hutzly 1968) und Karzinoide (Briselli et al. 1978) beobachtet. Diese primär in der Luftröhre entstandenen Tumoren sind abzugrenzen gegen die von Nachbarorganen (Schilddrüse, Ösophagus, Larynx, Bronchus) auf die Trachea übergreifende Tumoren, auf die hier nicht näher eingegangen werden soll und auf die entsprechenden Abhandlungen über Tumoren dieser Nachbarorgane verwiesen werden kann.
