Zusammenfassung

Das Peniskarzinom hat im Gegensatz zu anderen ektodermalen Karzinomen, deren 5-Jahresheilungsquote über 95% liegt, wesentlich ungünstigere Heilungschancen. Diese Beobachtung ist wohl zum Teil auf den Umstand zurückzuführen, daß zahlreiche an diesem Leiden erkrankte Patienten den Arzt, aus welchen Gründen auch immer, erst in einem weit fortgeschrittenen Stadium aufsuchen, oder die Penisamputation aus Rücksicht auf das Sexualleben nicht ausreichend radikal durchgeführt wird.
