Zusammenfassung

Die Mikro- und Makrophagen spielen im Rahmen der Immunabwehr des Organismus eine sehr wichtige Rolle. Die Funktionen der Mikrophagen bzw. in Kultur gezüchteten Makrophagen sind bei verschiedenen Erkrankungen in vitro untersucht worden, während dies bei frisch aus dem Blut isolierten Makrophagen (Monozyten) wegen methodischer Schwierigkeiten bisher nur sehr selten erfolgte [1, 9].
