Postoperative Management

Catheterization brings the operation to its final close. There are as many views on the most suitable type of catheter as there are models of catheter. Any catheter manufacturer can tell a tale of woe on this subject. Individual experience frequently suggests that one particular model is superior, but the wish to hand one’s name down to posterity, attached to some special type of catheter, may also play a part. The only important distinction is between balloon and nonballoon catheters.
