Zusammenfassung

Die Frage nach dem Nutzen gemessener Werte aus dem Laboratorium für Diagnose und Therapie in der Medizin ist erst seit den 70er Jahren durch die vielzitierte Kostenexplosion in unserem Gesundheitswesen zunehmend häufiger gestellt worden (1). Wurde sie aber auch genügend und fundiert diskutiert? Dies muß verneint werden, wäre doch sonst eine Stellungnahme zum Thema ein Leichtes!
