Abstract

We have now completed the parametrisation of the non-structurally dependent part of the energy-band problem. In the process, we found that for each ℓ quantum number only four parameters Dv, ϕv, ϕv , and <ϕ 2v > were needed to provide an accurate description of the logarithmic derivative function D(E) and its inverse E(D) in the region around (Dv,Ev).
