Abstract
Fatal incidences of stroke and heart infarctions in countries with high initial rates have decreased in the last decades. The higher the initial rate, the greater the reduction. This applies to Australia, Canada, South Africa and the USA; as well as the European countries of Belgium, Finland and Norway. Even some countries with low initial rates, such as Israel and Japan show a decline.
