Abstract

Computed tomography examinations require specific schedules due to the transportation time from the waiting room to the CT room, positioning of the patient, scanning time, image reconstruction of the slices taken, and for additional contrast enhancement procedures. Developments in CT technology have reduced the scanning time, but those aspects cited above still require these procedures to be used as economically as possible. Consequently, an appointment system is necessary due to time factors that are unrelated to CT procedures.
