Abstract
We know that tumours grow but our understanding of the dynamic changes which lead to this growth is incomplete, particularly in the case of human cancer. Precise and accurate data on human tumours are unfortunately hard to obtain due to the practical and ethical constraints existing in human cancer studies. In this review an attempt will be made to draw some general conclusions about the cell kinetics of colorectal cancer from information already available. In addition, some areas of current and possible future interest will be discussed.
