Zusammenfassung

Mit der Therapiestudie soll bei Patienten mit asymptomatischen Herzrhythmusstörungen die Frage geklärt werden, ob eine sekundäre Prophylaxe des plötzlichen Herztodes durch antiarrhythmische Therapie möglich ist. Zielgruppe sind Patienten mit ventrikulären Extrasystolen nach Myokardinfarkt. Das Protokoll der multizentrischen Studie wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Biometrischen Zentrum für Therapiestudien (München) erarbeitet. Studiendesign, ethische Fragen, Probleme der wissenschaftlichen Bewertung, Abbruchkriterien sowie der erwartete Erkenntnisgewinn werden dargestellt.
