Zusammenfassung

Sehr frühzeitig kommt es beim Prostatakarzinom zu einer Metastasierung in die regionären Lymphknoten. Am häufigsten sind die obturatorischen, die hypogastrischen und die iliacalen Lymphknoten betroffen [1, 4]. Die herkömmliche pedale Lymphographie erlaubt keine Aussage über den Befall der regionären Lymphknoten der Prostata. Deshalb wurde die pelvine Lymphadenektomie als Staging-Operation in die erweiterte Diagnostik integriert. Die operative Lymphknotenentfernung wird vor der lokalen Behandlung des Prostatakarzinoms gefordert [3, 8, 9, 11].
